This is honestly one of my favourite books and I don’t generally like coming of age stories.
Ash Persaud and Poppy Morgan fall for each other after meeting on a school trip. The two exist in different worlds, Ash come from a modest home while Poppy’s family is wealthy yet their love transcends class and race.
After spending New Years’ Eve together, Ash dies and because she died at midnight, becomes a reaper.
I’ll stop there but I really enjoyed this book. It’s quite heart-breaking but so beautifully written and the characters well developed.
